App Clips — for making & sharing to-do lists

We believe we've implemented a kind of non-typical use of the new App Clips feature, which is going to be a great experience for all Pocket Lists users! With the new App Clip, you can easily work together on to-do lists even if the main app isn’t downloaded yet.

When you invite a friend to work together on one of your Pocket Lists to-do list via iMessage (list sharing is super easy with Pocket Lists!), the App Clip advanced experience instantely shows your invitee full shared list content! And after the ‘Sign in with Apple’ is performed in the App Clip, full editing capabilities become available. You both will be able to add and complete tasks — right within the App Clip even if your invitee doesn’t have the full app installed.

The App Clip works seamless and activates via iMessage links and Smart App Banners.

And if there were no to-do lists shared, the App Clip works great too! The default experience enables you to instantly create a new to-do list right from the App Clip, and then to continue to work with this list after the full Pocket Lists app is installed.

The Pocket Lists app has been offering support for iOS Today Widget for a couple of years already.

But with release of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, the app brings support for the Apple newest widgets format. From now on, you are able to see all basic stuff from Pocket Lists on the main home screen of your iPhone or iPad: scheduled to-dos, grocery list, books to read, movies to watch — any of your to-do lists.
